![]() There where just a handful of them at the time on SVGA, and it was a real selling point: The Need For Speed, Screamer, Duke 3D was just about to appear, and I have to think really hard to remember any other. ![]() If it did, it might have catched quite more attention, since this was THE novelty for 3D games on PC at the time -at least for the ones with abundant textures Aces Over Europe, for example, had SVGA in 1993, but with almost naked polygons. In general the sky in all the tracks looked only a bit better than a placeholder, but for those times and on those resolutions that didn't stand out as much.įor the times that it came out (December 1995), this game could have benefited a lot by providing an option for SVGA graphics mode (640*480 or more), but it only had a 320*200 one (mode 13h on VGA). The graphics were just a bit inconsistent at places some tracks environments where well achieved, specially the natural landscapes not realistic, but had very pretty textures for the times -like the Great Canyon track- while on others the texture repetition was more apparent, or had many areas undetailed. It wasn't outstanding in any deparment, and was a bit weak in sounds and music, but was very original and of good overall quality for the time. This was a very simple (flying) racing game, with some simple weapons and damage mechanics added on top for wich there are on track power ups/repairs to pick up.
